We all love learning mundane things about the people who fascinate us, right? So in an effort to tap into our shameless voyeuristic tendencies, we started a Q&A series with the people of Instagram who tug at our heartstrings.
Just don't blame us if you're starving by the time you're done reading this post.
When it literally takes you 10 minutes to make a super amazing snack-pintxo. This one after my dad's own heart although he would definitely have a slice of Jabugo slightly melting over the top of it all. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil and slowly cook 2 whole cloves of garlic until golden. Add a handful of mushrooms and cook until nicely toasted. Season after they are a bit crispy so they don't get soggy. Toast bread, sprinkle with goat cheese and herbs. Pour hot mushrooms on top of toast and eat. On egin as we say in basque.
In a perfect world, all of our meals would look like one of Aran's photos. In fact, we would die happy if we could just once get a taste of one of her picture-perfect plates. And because we eat with our eyes first, it's no surprise that her Instagram account has amassed legions of followers (268K at this time) thanks to her out-of-this-world beautiful photography.
Her recipes are not only a feast for the eyes, but also bang-on succulent, the proof being in the form of a lovely cookbook where she shares her delicious creations and gives us poor plebeians hope that we, too, could possibly attain this level of regal refection.
As as an incredibly talented cook and author, Aran's appetite also trickles into a thirst for travel and adventure. Read on to learn about her interesting path, where she's planning her next escapade, as well as the dish that defines her cooking.
It'll be so clear to see why she's one of our all-time favorite food bloggers.
