Who to Follow on Instagram: The Food Bloggers

Oh, Instagram. A bottomless well of inspiration. The categories are multiple, their respective players all better than the next. Are you getting an Insta-headache from all the options of beautiful accounts at your fingertips? Hit the refresh button with the must-follow feeds I've identified. The pleasure is all yours (and maybe a tad mine, too).

We've all been sucked in by the Instagram vortex. I happen to do it as my job, therefore the hours I spend on the daily scrolling through the photo-sharing app are completely justified. But for those of you whose livelihood does not depend on your Instagram savviness, it can be a real counter-productive wormhole. The struggle is indeed real.

Start humming hallelujah, cause here I am again to save you some precious clock ticks with my aptly named 'Who to Follow on Instagram' series. The category explored for this installment: food bloggers. The type that actually makes recipes, not the one that goes out to eat every night and documents what they ordered off the menu (although there is absolutely nothing wrong with that).

The 'gram is truly a well of inspiration for foodies, especially for those who enjoy cooking. There are countless feeds that satisfy every nutrition persuasion, whether you're a raw dieter, a veg-happy vegan, mighty carnivorous or a sweet tooth-surviving mortal. So many, in fact, that it can leave one paralyzed with options.

Below are some truly delectable accounts that are not only beautiful to look at, but also produce content that could inspire even the least chef-y denizens to pick up an apron; these foodies are an utter pleasure to follow. Scroll through for some palette-titillation, but be forewarned: you might want to grab a snack first. This post is going to make you hangry hungry.

Shall We?

The presentation over at @cleanfooddirtycity will pretty much make anyone crave vegetables. And if it doesn't, you might want to check your pulse.

Clean food that could convert the dirtiest of eaters.

@halfbakedharvest proves that superior photography can really take recipes to the next level. While Tieghan's food alone is enough to ignite ohs and ahs, her photos take things over the edge, right into the burning desire zone.

Challenge yourself to spend less than an hour stalking this account.

Stephanie over at @iamafoodblog makes simple and delicious dishes that would leave anyone hungry, mixing her own recipes with her restaurant findings.

@iamafoodblog leaves no room for confusion with a very to-the-point name.

Anyone who simplifies baking and cooking by introducing easy-to-follow and mouthwatering dishes gets our vote. That's @minimalistbaker in a nutshell.

We'll take the pasta to start and chocolate for dessert, thanks.

@thisrawsomeveganlife will literally make you want to turn vegan. Enough said.

If this is what veganism looks like, count us in.

Kylie over at @immaeatthat chronicles her daily meals and comes up with super easy and creative recipes that anyone can recreate at home. She'll make you believe that you too can do it, thanks to her accessible dishes. Although whatever you make will likely never look as good as her version.

She's also the queen of overnight oats. Swoon.

@raw_manda's infectious joie de vivre transpires in every post she publishes. So much so, that it'll actually make you want to experiment with a raw diet. Kudos to you if you stick to it.

Ok but, like, how good does that raw pizza look?! *wipes drool*

One gander at @localhaven's account and suspicions of food styling will undoubtedly arise. Allow me to confirm: girl knows how to make food look downright lust-worthy.

The combination of food styling skills and actual cooking skills can be lethal for your productivity. You'll get sucked in for hours scrolling through her account.

How to brilliantly combine lifestyle and cooking? Ask @cannellevanille, though I'm pretty positive she won't reveal her secrets. This is the kind of aesthetic and talent that can't be taught, anyway. Just admire.

You'll get lost in Aran's world and you won't want to find your way out. Trust.

@talinegabriel is basically a breakfast bowl master. If this doesn't make you want to survive on smoothies alone, I don't know what will.

A kitchen artist with a hippie heart. Peace, love, and healthiness.

Lindsay over at @pinchofyum will basically make you want to eat all day every day and refuse to ever put your fork down.

This is what truly taking pleasure in cooking and eating looks like.
